Notice is hereby given that the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to Section 21 of the Town and Police Clauses Act 1847 made an Order the effect of which will be to close to all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles the roads described in Schedule 1 below.
The reason for the closure is to facilitate the holding of the Remembrance Sunday Parade in Crown Lane, The Street, The Mead, Milkingpen Lane, Old Basing and to enable the Police to exercise traffic control as the roads will be thronged and liable to be obstructed.
Diversion Route: Crown Lane (10 minute closure)
Alternative route westbound: A30 London Road; Alternative route eastbound: A30 London Road
The Street (10 minute closure)
Alternative route from Basing Road: Bartons Lane; Alternative route from Pyotts Hill: The Street (unclosed section)
Return Journey
The Mead (10 minute closure)
Alternative route: Non required as Cul de Sac
Milkingpen Lane (10 minute closure turning right into Crown Lane)
Alternative route: Bell Vue Road
Crown Lane (10 minute closure)
Alternative route: A30 London Road
Access will be maintained for the residents of the roads listed below whilst the Remembrance Sunday Parade is in progress.

Milkingpen Lane (10 minute closure) from church Lane to Fiveways junction.
Crown Lane (10 minute closure) the length of the road from Fiveways junction to The Royal British Legion.
The Parade ends at The Royal British Legion on Crown Lane

Length of road to be affected is between point A and point B
