Assistant Clerk vacancy - 18 hours per week *
We are seeking someone to maintain and enhance service delivery through the provision of technical and administrative support to the Parish Clerk.
Job responsibilities include routine office administration: preparing agendas and writing minutes of meetings: deputising for the Clerk: the management of the Cemetery and Allotments: taking bookings for Council venues: interacting with the community: and working with Parish Councillors to deliver a good service to parishioners.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to communicate information accurately in addition to good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Some evening work for Committee meetings and some out of hours working will be required.
The successful candidate will be required to study for the Certificate in Local Council Administration, if not already held. Starting salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
