HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL - Footpath 7

 The bridge has now been replaced and the footpath is open once again.

Hampshire Countryside Service has confirmed that the contract for restoration of the bridge at Footpath 7 has now been awarded.  The Environment Agency will now consider a licence application and the anticipated installation is currently in November 2022.

Unfortunately, the restoration works to Old Basing & Lychpit Footpath 7 (passing near to the Sewerage Works on Whitmarsh Lane) have been granted an extension to the closure, meaning that the diversion will remain in place for up to six further months from Monday 22nd February 2021 (until Sunday 18th July 2021, or the completion of works, whichever is sooner).
