HIGHWAYS ENGLAND - M3 Northbound Carriageway CLOSURE 19/22 Feb 2021
Published: 11 February 2021
We are writing to advise you that due to the weather experienced on weekend of 22 January 2021, we were not able to complete all our works.
We will now be closing the M3 northbound carriageway between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 6, from 9pm Friday 19 February 2021 through to 6am Monday 22 February 2021. In addition, lane 3 of the M3 southbound carriageway will be closed during the same period, as part of the safe working area for our crews.
During the closure, traffic will be diverted off the M3 via the exit slip road, across the roundabout to re-join the M3 via the entry slip road. Any residents or visitors for Basingstoke (from the A303 eastbound or M3 northbound) are recommended to use junction 7 during the closure.
Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles on blue light calls only.
We do anticipate there will be some delays during this weekend, so will be advertising the closure via letters, the media, social media and signage. We encourage you to use the information from this letter to alert your communities of the works, to enable all road users to plan their journey in advance.
We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption you may experience during this work. If you have any questions, or if you would like to know about our work, please contact us on 0300 123 5000 or email info@highwaysengland.co.uk
