B847 – Milkingpen Lane, Old Basing – Drainage Improvements

Hampshire Highways will shortly be returning to resurface the approaches to the railway bridge following the drainage improvement works on Milkingpen Lane, Old Basing.

The works are programmed to start 8th September 2020 and are expected to last for 2 days. During this time the road will be closed between the junction with Churn Close and the junction with Manor Close, from 09:30 to 16:00hrs each day. A signed diversion will be in operation during the works using The Street, Crown Lane and Milkingpen Lane.

Access to the Day Lewis Pharmacy and to residents will always be available from the south of Milkingpen Lane. Accessibility to the Day Lewis Pharmacy will be communicated to the staff as the works progress.

The above timescales are weather dependent, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, works will be carried out ensuring safe working practices, and social distancing between site operatives and members of the public are maintained at all times. The appropriate traffic management will be in place to prevent any interaction.
