Milkingpen Lane - Drainage Improvement Works

The long-awaited drainage works under the Milkingpen Lane bridge are due to start on 1 June, details of which can be seen in a letter sent to residents in the immediate vicinity (click here to see a copy of the letter).  Due to the complexity of the work and the need for social-distancing the road will be closed to all traffic, including cycles and pedestrians.  There will also be restricted access from the footpath leading from Riley Lane past the old scout hut (at least during the early stages of the work).  We are sure you will agree this is a minor inconvenience if it finally resolves the flooding under the bridge.
