THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (The Street, Old Basing) NOTICE 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council, in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 considers that the closure specified below should come into force.

Road Affected:-

The Street, Old Basing – 20m either side of the bridge

Reason for Closure:-

Works will be undertaken to allow for a detailed bridge examination

Alternative Route:-

Via The Street, Pyotts Hill, Great Binfields Road, Barton's Lane, Basing Road or by this route reversed.

Period of closure:-

The closure will come into effect on 17 November 2020 for 5 days only between the hours of 21:00 – 05:00 (until 21 November 2020 or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner)
