M3 Junctions 6 to 7 Basingstoke – Southbound Resurfacing
Published: 14 September 2020
Highways England will shortly be carrying out work to resurface a section of the M3 southbound carriageway near Cliddesden (Basingstoke), to ensure the network remains in a safe condition.
They will carry out this work over five weeks starting on Monday 28 September 2020 (Monday to Friday only). To minimise disruption to their customers, they'll work overnight from 9pm to 6am when there are fewer vehicles on the road.
Please note that the works may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Highways England will advertise closure on yellow signs placed in advance alongside the motorway.
For the safety of their workforce and customers, they will need to close the M3 southbound carriageway from junction 6 to junction 7. A signed diversion will be in place from junction 6, along the A30 Ringway South and the A30 Winchester Road, to re-join the M3 at junction 7
Highways England would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption you may experience during this work. They will make every effort to carefully manage noise levels to minimise the impact.
If you have any questions, or if you would like to know about the work, please contact Highways England on 0300 123 5000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can visit their website at highwaysengland.co.uk/roads/ where you can find a weekly report of all full closures across the network.
