B918 – A30 London Road, Old Basing – Carriageway Resurfacing

Published: 03 June 2020

Following previous carriageway resurfacing works on the A30 London Road from Park Lane to Byfleet Avenue, unfortunately, a section of the new carriageway surface has been found to be defective and needs to be repaired.

The works are programmed to start on Monday 22nd June 2020 and are expected to last for 1 night, during which time the road will be closed between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00hrs. This is being carried out at no cost to Hampshire County Council.

The above timescales are weather dependent, any significant changes to the scheduled dates will be made clear on the yellow sign boards located at the works limits.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, works will be carried out ensuring safe working practices and social distancing measures are maintained at all times. A minimum of 2 metres will be kept between site operatives and members of the public, with the appropriate traffic management in place to prevent any interaction.

In order to help us to complete the work as quickly as possible, please ensure that no vehicles are parked on the road on the days of the resurfacing.

For the publics safety and that of our workforce, we are unable to guarantee vehicular access to and from nearby properties during working hours. Should you need to make an essential journey during the periods of closure, please contact a member of the workforce in advance and they will be able to advise if they can accommodate your request. Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
