Mayor's Carol Service 2019
All are welcome to celebrate the start of the festive season with the Mayor Cllr Diane Taylor at the Mayor’s Carol Service.
The free service will be held at St Michael’s Church on Sunday 8 December at 7pm with refreshments and mince pies served afterwards.
The service will be led by the Mayor’s Chaplain and Consort Dr Andy Taylor and the Bishop of Basingstoke will perform the blessing.
The Basingstoke Festival of Choirs will lead the congregation carols and Teresa Lunn, soloist, from The Belles of St Martin, will sing The Candlelight Carol by John Rutter.
Also during the service, the Hatch Warren Infant School Choir will perform some festive songs to get you into the Christmas mood.
All proceeds from the collection will go to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal, supporting HeartSmart, Real Change not Loose Change and Besom in Basingstoke.
