The club, founded in 1967, is dedicated to the promotion of archery as a family recreation and currently has about 45 shooting members. The club is affiliated to the Hampshire Archery Association, Southern Counties Archery Society and the Grand National Archery Society (the governing body for target archery in the UK) and meets at its range on Old Basing Recreation Ground, generally most week day evenings and weekends.

The bowling club's 110 members (ranging in age from 11 to over 90) play throughout the week and weekend in various leagues across north Hampshire plus friendly matches. New members are welcomed. Loaned equipment and coaching are freely available.

Always keen to welcome new members, the Cricket Club offers the opportunity to play in a friendly team on one of the finest grounds in north Hampshire. It runs two Saturday League XI's (Hampshire League), two Sunday XI's plus colts (under 11s, under 13s & under 15s), and winter indoor sides.

We are an active club with a strong 150+ junior and adult membership.
Just to give you an idea of what we do; as well as participating in the local league, we have several club sessions a week, run tournaments, and organise a variety of social events through the summer and winter seasons.
Coaching is also available should you wish to brush up on your tennis! Club facilities include four painted hard courts and a club house that provides kitchen, toilet and changing facilities.

Army Cadet Unit

The Army Cadet unit parades at the back of the Legion Car Park on Monday and Wednesday evenings starting1915hrs and finishing at 2130hours. The army's voluntary youth organisation aims to teach people from the age of 13-18 basic military and life skills.

Any lady over 18 can join the Women's Section of The Royal British Legion. The group meets every fourth Thursday of the month in the RBL hall in Crown Lane, Old Basing and activities include guest speakers, outings and fundraising events to help the dependants of service personnel killed or maimed.
