Schools

Old Basing has two schools, the infant school and the CE aided junior school. Great Binfields Primary School has recently been built to take children from Lychpit and neighbouring Chineham. Pupils from Old Basing go on to a variety of secondary schools but the majority go to Costello College of Technology in Basingstoke (into whose catchment area Old Basing falls), some may go to Robert May's in Odiham (when numbers permit), Bishop Challoner, the RC school in Basingstoke and the independent Lord Wandsworth College.
